The Residents of the Town of Cardston and the Cardston County are
very proud of their $1,000,000 Premier Equine and Agricultural Center.
The facility is located on 20 acres in the beautiful foothills in
Southern Alberta. Our heated indoor arena is 100' x 200' and the slide
track / warm up arena is 200' x 40'. The facility includes two outdoor
arenas, the newest being 200' x 400', an excellant venue for team
roping and barrel racing. The main indoor facility incorporates a
new kitchen, concession and restroom area with showers. A campground
is available for travelers and the stabling will accommodate 160 animals.
The heated indoor arena seats up to 1500 spectators.
Mission
Statement
The mission of the Cardston
Agriculture Society is to nurture, preserve and improve the agricultural
way of life for the residents of Southern Alberta. We strive
to accomplish this by creating opportunities for involvement and
recreation, by conducting educational programs and by organizing
various events which foster volunteer service.
Belief
Statement
The Board of Directors of the Cardston Agricultural Society believe
it is important to maintain an Agricultural Society. A Society that
is prepared to promote a broad awareness of agriculture, to encourage
leadership training for the youth, to improve community spirit, to
provide a venue for local suppliers to market their products, and
to host multiple activities to boost the local economy.
